Community Mindfulness

Mindfulness can help people manage challenges, whoever they are. We offer training in collaboration with organisations working in the community and criminal justice settings

Our Vision

We want  to take mindfulness training to as many people as possible, including those who might not attend a course. We’re currently working with Wales Probation Service and The Mental Health Foundation as well as healthcare bodies and other organisations, especially in South Wales.

We also teach mindfulness in schools for staff and pupils

Prison & Probation

Mindfulness is still in its infancy in criminal justice settings and we’re leaders this work. We’re currently delivering a transformational mindfulness programme for people on probation in Swansea and Cardiff and their Offender Managers in conjunction with Wales mindfulness service. We’re also developing a mindfulness programme with a large prison in South Wales that includes mindfulness for staff wellbeing.

Vishvapani has trained in the Path of Freedom prison mindfulness programme and developed the Breathe Free programme in conjunction with The HM Prison and Probation Service. He’s a member of the NOMS Mindfulness Steering Group.

Single Mums & Community Groups

Collaborating with the Mental Health Foundation and Gingerbread, we’re training single mums to run peer-led mindfulness sessions in for other single mothers.

Together with MHF, we want to develop this peer-led approach to mindfulness in the community much further.

Public Policy

Vishvapani worked with the Mindfulness All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Mindful Nation UK, a unique parliamentary report on the potential contribution mindfulness can make to British society. He’s an Associate of the Mindfulness Initiative and the APPG and  engages with the Welsh Assembly government on mindfulness.

Vishvapani is a highly experienced mindfulness, who leads our work in Criminal Justice and in bringing mindfulness into public policy. He’s trained in Breathworks (focusing on mindfulness physical healthcare) and Path of Freedom (mindfulness for offenders) as well as Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. He’s an Associate of Breathworks MindfulnessThe Mindfulness Initiative, the Mindfulness All Party Parliamentary Group and the Mindfulness Co-ordination Group of the National Offender Management Service .
